Background

Hope Junior School, Nabuganyi is a Primary School with nursery services. The school offers Pre-primary and Primary Education. Hope Junior School-Nabuganyi is licensed by Uganda’s Ministry of Education and Sports.

Due to the high prevalence of HIV/AIDS, many children are orphans rendering access to education extremely difficult for them. With that in mind, the Board of directors of the school are providing sponsor-funded education to the orphans and vulnerable children.

In 2010, the school admitted 40 vulnerable children and by 2017, the enrollment climbed to 517 pupils. Many children are orphans while the majority are in vulnerable situations and the school’s priority is to support their specific needs. We also enroll non-vulnerable children which serves to complement our operating budget at a time when external funding is limited.

Vision

To offer quality education with a Christian perspective to vulnerable children who do not have the financial means to enroll.
