The Ministry of Education and Sports in Uganda has three academic
terms/semesters. Each term runs for 12 weeks. Added to the regular curriculum are various activities which include Ball games (soccer, football, netball, and volleyball), Athletics and Music along with Dance and Drama.
Subjects:
· Five learning areas are taught in Nursery section. The learning areas are outlined in the Syllabus.
· Seven examinable and non-examinable subjects are taught in the lower primary (Primary 1 to Primary 3). The subjects are; Literacy one, Literacy two, Numeracy, English, Religious Education, Local Language, Physical Education etc.
· Five examinable subjects are taught in Upper Primary (Grade IV to Grade VII). The subjects include Mathematics, English,
Science, Social Studies and Religious Studies.Academic Performance
